This week is Dev’s Play, where we’ll be playing through a locally-made game with the developer! This session we’re featuring Robert Denner:

Robert Denner is a game designer who specializes in narrative design and writing. He got his start in 1997, creating RPGs using the Kyle’s Quest Game Engine for the PalmOS. Having created six RPGs for the engine between 1997 and 2002, he ended up providing the pack-in level to both Kyle’s Quest and KQ2.

Robert will bringing with him a selection of his games including a remake of his very first game, No Bones About It, as well as his latest game, Crossroads. No Bones About It is an in-progress remake of the KQ pack-in level that started it all; a story about an adventurer trying to meet up with his traveling companion in a land under the attack by the undead. Whereas Crossroads is a short narrative-heavy adventure about four strangers who meet in a tavern and join together in an attempt to win a competition.
